Bellagio

Bellagio sits where Lake Como divides in two, on the tip of a green promontory looking out toward the Alps. Cobbled streets climb steeply from the water’s edge, lined with pastel houses, small boutiques and the gardens of historic villas. Villa Serbelloni and Villa Melzi d’Eril still carry the aristocratic elegance that drew travellers here for centuries, while the Punta Spartivento, where the wind itself seems to part, offers one of the lake’s most evocative views.
Known as the Pearl of Lake Como, Bellagio moves at its own pace. Ferries cross gently between the lakeside towns, restaurants serve lake fish and Lombard specialities, and every season brings its own light to the water. It remains one of Italy’s most romantic destinations, a place where elegance has never needed to raise its voice.
