Palazzo Genazzini

Bellagio

Facing the water for more than two centuries, Palazzo Genazzini is Bellagio’s oldest hotel, born as an inn on the old harbour when the village still reached down to the lake. Named after the family who acquired it in 1788, it later became a recognised stop for travellers on the Grand Tour, a place woven into the daily life of the town for generations.
Following an extensive restoration by Francesco Pastorelli Architetti and Studio Reveria, the palazzo reopens as a 35 room boutique hotel, its historic character preserved and reimagined for a contemporary residential atmosphere. Soft neutral palettes, bespoke furnishings by Italian artisans and locally inspired materials fill the interiors, where circular details recall Bellagio’s nautical past and floral motifs echo the historic façades of the lake.
Dining and social life unfold across Ristorante Genazzini 1788, a waterfront piazza bar and a rooftop bar with cocktails by Alessandro Grechi, each space open to guests and to the town alike. Here, the lake is not simply a view. It is a presence, entering through every window and settling quietly over the day.
